Whether you're just getting started or have an established user base, one thing that holds back developers is hosting. Finding a way to monetize your project, which typically includes placing limits or locking features behind paywalls, is never ideal. As a way to foster creativity, RelyHost will begin providing free resources to select bot developers in exchange for a shout-out or other small advertisements.
Why we're the best choice for you
RelyHost has been providing secure, fast, and reliable hosting services for Discord bots spanning thousands of servers. We're the go-to place for reliable bot hosting across Discord. Our bot infrastructure has over 99.99% uptime, and we have plenty of capacity to accommodate some of the most demanding bots. Our team is also highly experienced in the bot development field with over 10 years of cumulative experience. We know what we're talking about and we know how to do it right.
We also understand what it takes to run a modern Discord bot and the challenges involved with a typical hosting structure. We've built our program around the developer by making it as easy as possible to switch to our managed infrastructure. Our managed infrastructure makes your bot easier to manage with online controls & console, auto-restart, file management, multi-library support, databases, cloud backups, and more all included.
What do I have to do?
Partners who we select will have to include a simple shout-out or advertisement across a couple of surfaces. An example might be including a message in the "About Me" section of the bot, or adding an image advertisement to your website. These will transparently show your users that you are a part of the program, and direct anyone interested in our services to our website. A few examples of messages that you may have to include are:
- ⚡ by rely.host
- Hosting provided by rely.host
- Apart of the RelyHost Bot Incubator Program
Who can apply?
Currently, we are not accepting applications at this time. Please check back later.
We do not have strict requirements for partners and the exact numbers depend on various factors. Generally, here are a few guidelines:
- A marketable, completed, or nearly completed Discord bot with verified interest
- An active developer or team of developers to maintain the bot
- Verified bot if in more than 75 servers
- Bots below 75 servers should be able to apply to the verified program when they reach 75 servers
- The bot should be on track to reach 75 servers within at most 2 months if below 75 servers
- The bot does not violate the Discord Developer Guidelines
- Compatible with our bot hosting service with minimal changes to the existing structure
- Web dashboards, APIs, and NoSQL databases are not supported at this time
- Costs associated with non-bot hosting services are covered only at our discretion
- Must have a somewhat active support community
- The bot must be public and not for private use
- The bot must have a new or marketable feature that isn't already done by someone else
- Cannot be yet another moderation bot, music bot, etc
- Must bring something new that can be marketed
Our team will review all applications on a case-by-case basis, however, you should meet all of the above requirements before applying. Please include any information that you believe we should know in your application (for example if you have a web dashboard and the costs associated with it). Make sure your application contains all the relevant details so our team can evaluate your worthiness for this program.
Why are we doing this?
While we do want to foster creativity and new ideas on Discord, it would be disingenuous to not mention the marketing side of this project. We want to showcase to developers the power of our platform and reach new developers by placing our name on reputable and innovative projects. We think providing these free managed services is so valuable in the early stages of your project, and in return, a shout-out isn't a huge requirement. Not only is this the perfect balance, but it also helps both of us achieve our goals.
We hope we can continue to empower developers to reach their goals and build new things. The internet is an amazing place, and it wouldn't quite be the same without people like you building amazing things.
